They look across the vally and over Interstate 70 (located Northside) I have to get by with a two bedroom apartment, with a great roommate Donald from NZ (7th season driving) which includes, all modern fridge, stove/oven, microwave, DISHWASHER, bathroom, main furniture, a big storage room which can easily fit a couple bikes a heap of board/ski equiptment and still have space left over. Heating, Electricity, Basic Cable, back up generator, snow ploughing all included in the rent which I think is US$660month for us (it varied depending on the more rooms the less the rent)

The only utility I have to pay for is a 'cell' service, internet (which is $36month but TRUE unlimited downloads - no speed limiting after a certain amount of GBs - and we are splitting it 4 ways with neighbouring appartment... wirless ofcoarse AND 54MB/s!!!) Then ofcoarse essentials, bedding, kitchen/bathroom things...
We actually scored 2 TVs but unfortunately neither of them work :D it was almost two weeks (mostly due to training homework) before I headed next door to get a tast of US television. Not only was I suprised that I was NOT having withdrawls... but all the comercials only seem to revolve around cars, drugs, all forms of Viagra, and even one ad for Vibrators... and so we laugh our asses off when the TV network deem swearwords as basic as 'bitch' and 'God'!! to innappropriate to broadcast!!!
BUT Viagra, Vibrators, and drugs! ...totally suitable for children!!!! This is a crazy culture :)
AND NOW The veiw from my bedroom window....

My first Tuesday.................... The very next day!!! (Wed)... Unfortunatly it did not stay.
The weather up here does not FEEL nearly as cool as I expected it to be, or that we need it to be. My first couple days I was still getting around in shorts and long Tshirts, strangly enough I am often STILL wearing (long) shorts even at 0 degrees C (32F) my legs arn't phased!!! One american lady as I was walking through Vail Villiage collecting photo's was appalled :)....
Even over the snow making from the mountinan I could hear "OH MY GOD he's wearing shorts!!!" ...I had to laugh and smile, I just replied "You can tell I am from a cooler climate" very few Americans can even place an Australian accent, I have had English? South African? Kiwi? only Aussies and Kiwi's have guessed correctly. I don't think it leaves to many native english accents left to pick from.
